Dr. Mervin P. Wallace is a native of the Caribbean island of Dominica. As an adult, he migrated to New York City where he lived until relocating to Tallahassee. He graduated form the City University of New York (Queens College) with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. He returned to Dominica to begin his medical education and graduated from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and served as Chief Resident during the third year of his residency. He went on to complete a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.
Dr. Wallace enjoys traveling with his wife Daphney and their two children, Mervin Jr. and Meleah. His other passions include medical missions and teaching. Do not be surprised if a medical student accompanies him during your visit or he is gone a few days to lend help somewhere overseas.
